I got quite a few but these are on my mind

1. Kirby Vacuum: mil gave us her old one. I think it was a 1991 model. About $100 of work 15 years ago and a few maintenances, it's still the best I've ever owned.


2. The Main Ingredients skillets and pots from Dillards or Macy's. 20+ years of hard use and still looks brand new.

A high quality safe of any brand (Mine is American Security)

A lot of my larger shop tools. As long as I maintain them, they can easily be passed on to my kids and grandkids. Delta 5hp table saw, Jet 5hp helical head planer, Delta Drill Press, Laguna bandsaw, etc.

My house. (Our first house purchase ever, and only one so far. We will live here until we retire and even then probably won't sell it, it will just become a rental property).

Somewhere on our farm we have a posthole tamping rod that was handmade. The digging end still shows remains of some threads, and the tamping end show remains of splines. A friend looked at it and said it looked like it was a Model T driveshaft before it was a tamping rod.

Most anything will last a long time if you maintain it and dont abuse it, even "cheapo" stuff will last if treated properly.

I have guns that are over 100 years old, my Logan lathe is from the 40's and who knows how old my cast iron pans are.

Late 70's GE refrigerator that's in my shop, manual defrost, freezer behind the interior door. Mine since the mid-80's, still keeps beer at near freezing, used for overflow garden output, but every year is used to chill the quartered deer to "surface ice crystals" status, ready for my processing.
40+ yrs old, while our current house frig is the third one in 18 years...

I have a Craftsman 3/8" variable speed drill I bought in 1990. Works as good as the day I bought it.

I am on my third pair of Lucchese ostrich boots. First pair o outgrew. Second pair I resoled about five time before I ruined the toe and they could not be resoled again.
