PSA is having a Presidents Day (Washington's Birthday for us purists) sale on their 9mm PCC. Is this a good deal? Are these solid guns?

That's a relatively average price for the Stribog with a brace if you look around, and that shows the A1 model, not the newer A3. The A3 incorporated a roller delayed action and a nonreciprocating charging handle. If I was buying one, it would be the A3.

If you buy it, I would change mags immediately. The straight mags for the Stribog have a bad track record. There are lowers that you can get that switch it to scorpion mags, and Grand Power has started making curved mags for it that are supposed to be better.

Texas Plinking youtube channel has done a few videos featuring the Striborg. He also compares the A1 and A3 in this one as well. Worth a view.

A3 tactical lower fixes the mag issues of the stribog. It converts it over to cz scorpion mags and AR grip, safety, trigger groups.

I have an A1 and my buddy has an A3. Both are pretty new, with only a couple of hundred rounds through them. They are a lot of fun to shoot. The A3 has slightly less recoil, but both are easy to shoot. I have one curved mag and two straight mags and have had no malfunctions as of yet. The A3 has the older straight mags and has had a couple of malfunctions, but none with the curved mags.

I watched a lot of videos and was a little hesitant, but no regrets so far.

Or you could just skip right to it and buy a CZ scorpion.

...or for a little more money an SP5 clone, an SP5, or a B&T APC9 Pro (with or without Glock mag compatibility).

And yeah, I get that those options are more money - you do get what you pay for though. Nothing too wrong with a Stribog though if you use the curved mags from what I can tell.

... a "little" more...

The cz was about $900 when I bought mine. The real advantage to cz in my mind is the mags and aftermarket support. It is like a 9mm ruger 10/22.

The stribog is a fun 9mm range toy for cheap. Nothing wrong with it out of the box. Trigger/safety are good enough so no customizations necessary like most people do to the scorpion.

Mine doesn't feed hollow points at all. I've had no issues with the all plastic gen 1 mags with FMJ but I haven't shot a ton of rounds through it.
