Very nice. Trailer looks narrow? I realize its for weight, but are dual axles more forgiving being narrow?

We cut the axles down. Most folks offset the pit to one side on a full width trailer, we think they look better and haul a lot better like this. We do full width as well, but we also offer these sleek trailers too. It's up to the customer.

Just a small thought…

Why not put the damper below the stack hinge? Takes it out of the airstream while towing and simplifies the stack.

-Hinge/bearing hardware is a nice finished touch, much more serviceable than homemade
-would love to see inside the damper, I've made singles that operate similar that, adding the extra two on either side is a cool level of complexity. Any concerns with scorch/rust binding that up?

Bottom halves of the stacks are all pre built in batches and put to the side, typically the dampers are added on at the end, it's easier to put it in the top half while it's sitting on the table versus welded on the pit.

It'll do 15- 18 briskets on the main rack, I'd bet it's more than 300.

All internals on the dampers are machined surfaces, plus each damper shaft has a top and bottom bearing. As long as they're serviced and not kept out in the elements, they hold up great.

I was way off - my dad was a shop teacher for 40 years and he built one once that would hold 30 chickens at once.

PS - damn fine work and keep sharing the pics with us. We like seeing them!!
