Sunglasses for Big Heads

It's time for new sunglasses and I have a big ass head. For snapback caps, I'm only connected by 2 snaps (which looks goofy as hell and is why I don't wear caps). No idea what I'd wear in fitted.

My previous sunglasses were Ray-Ban RB3543 Chromace with the mirrored blue-ish lenses. They were slightly small on my face, which made the ear pieces flare out a little instead of going straight back over my ears. I was probably more self conscious of it than warranted, but if I'm going to buy new ones, I'm looking to see if there is a better option.

My must haves:
Rectangular to mild aviator in shape (not heavy triangular aviator style)
Glass Lenses
Polarized
Metal frames

Prefer:
Straight ear piece, or at least adjustable/bendable so I can fit it over my ears
Mirrored blue lenses

Any ideas? I've owned Mauis and Ray-Bans, but am open to anything that will check the boxes. No real budget in mind - I'm willing to pay for a good pair of sunglasses. Maui has some glasses that are advertised as "large," but no idea if they truly are. I'm heading to New Braunfels this weekend and would be willing to brave the crowds at the Outlets to hit up Sunglass Hut if I had some confidence that I could find something that would work.

My onion came from the same patch as yours my brother. I have a hard time finding glasses that don't make me look like a bug. I've settled on the polarized large Ray Ban Wayfarers and I've tried them all. I still do every time I go to Academy or a sunglasses store.

Knew a gentleman from Tennessee that was of this ilk. His nickname was "Whopper Top". HIs poor wife bore two of his children.

Thanks. I forgot about Costas. If I give up the metal frames, there are a few options that look like they may work.

Not sure if they meet all your requirements, but I really like costa rincoms and Maui red sands for my huge dome.

Snap backs are a no go for me too

I, too, am of the melon head tribe. I am a one-snap on the snap back. Unsolicited hat suggestion: New Era 39Thirty Flexfit in L/XL. Dunk it in the water and put it on your head, let it dry there. Will be your new go-to.

Sunglasses: I have Costa Rincons and really like them. They check all your boxes except for metal frames. I have considered Maui Jim Cook Pines in the past, but they are spendy and seem too delicate for my day-to-day. Check the overall width of the glasses before you buy them. Measure the diameter of your head at the top of you ears and size accordingly to avoid the tiny sunglasses on fat head look.

I have a large head and I wear the Costa Fisch. They're the widest (or one of the widest) frame Costa makes.

Edit: Not metal frames so I guess they're out.

I'm on the third snap, so pretty close in noggin girth. I've been really happy with Maui Mongooses since switching from a pair of ray ban aviators.

Costa will allow you to search their inventory by frame type and wide. Check them out.

The Costa Canaveral look like my #1, followed by the Spearo XL.

Lucky to have a head so small one snap on my big ole German head is still snug.

Interested in the responses though as I'm looking for something similar.

It depends on the brand. Otto caps are 2 snaps, cheaper ones are one snap. And I feel your German pain. My giant blonde haired square head needs all the help it can get.

I'm a fan of costa rincon as well based in comfort. However if you're a sweaty head, and wear them for anything but fashion, they slip and slide a lot when fishing or working outside, etc. Trouble is the ear pieces are too large for the traditional lanyards to slide over the ends. They don't have holes to clip on a lanyard either. Other that that, the blue glass lenses are very comfortable.

Costa Rincon work for large heads, but you want metal frames.

Out of curiosity why are you stuck on metal?

Sunglasses you are looking for are Serengeti Dante, they are absolutely incredible sunglasses that I have had for about 5 years. I have a massive head (in junior high wore a highschool football helmet, in high school wore a pro helmet for football type big) I can't fit most caps or I'm on the final plug on the Richardson 112's.

I'm a fan of the Ray Ban 3506 probably have 4-5pairs and they work pretty well on a man sized head.

Damn, boys. Looks like we have our own club. I am also a two snaps left on the cap kind of guy.

I have always been a Costa guy, but then I found the Oakley DoubleEdge sunglasses. They fit my big ol head perfectly.

I'm part of y'alls club. I'm a one snap, can only wear fitted hats or stretch fit guy. I have a pair of Smith glasses I wear that work. But I'll be checking out the other suggestions. Thanks.

I got a big head too. Most gimme caps do not fit. I have to wear prescription sunglasses. Started out wearing RayBan, switched to Maui Jims, now wearing Costas. I have only had my Costas for about a year but have really liked them. My biggest issues with MJ and RB's were toughness. I would break them regularly then have to wait a week or more to get them repaired. The Costas just seem a little tougher than the rest.
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.
