How long do you want to ignore this user?
Driving a motorhome from Houston to Phoenix and back and will have a little extra time along the way - going to take 3 days each way. Actual destination is Kingman AZ which is 3 hours NW of Phoenix. On the way out Day 1 will probably do 5-6ish hours stop around Sonora/Ozona, Day 2 somewhere past Las Cruces maybe as far as Tucson if something to do/see there, Day 3 to Phoenix or further out toward Kingman.
Just looking for recommendations -

Nice RV Parks or State Parks along the way?

Anything we should see or do along the way? West Texas, Southern NM, Tucson? We will only be a couple hours from Las Vegas but no desire to go. Hoover Dam area?

Basically any recs, advice, info. TIA

it's I-10 all the way to Phoenix - Hwy 93 from there to Kingman.

For driving that distance in three days at motorhome speeds, I would recommend looking at places to stop/explore that are no more than one hour from I-10. We prefer state parks over commercial RV parks, as the scenery and the hiking and the exploring is better. In west TX, you might see if you can get a spot at Davis Mtns. State Park, which is about 45 minutes from I-10. From the park, it is just a short drive into the quaint little town of Ft. Davis.

As for NM and AZ, they both have websites for their parks.

I've made the drive many times, including up 93. Never made it all the way to Kingman though.

Wickenburg is a cool little town just outside of PHX, may think about stopping there and walking around a town that still has an old west feel to it. Lots of shops and restaurants in old downtown, or at least there were last time I was there years ago.

Most of the drive up Grand/93 is pretty crappy, beyond Wickenburg there isn't anything worth stopping for until you get to Kingman.

For driving that distance at motorhome speeds (in my motorhome) I would have to add 20-25% to the Google time estimates to account for walking dogs, lunch, fuel stops etc. That would put my traveling 8-9 hours per day.

If you can make it as far as Flagstaff.
Observatory that found Pluto is there. On some nights they open it up for show and tell. Link: https://lowell.edu/visit/experiences/premium-access/

But our family favorite was the Flagstaff Extreme park.

Sedona, AZ Link: https://visitsedona.com/
Take a Pink Jeep Tour of the sights Link: https://www.pinkadventuretours.com/tours/sedona-tours

My daughter found all of these for her senior summer trip.

Balmorhea State Park is only open for Day-Use, pool also open. No camping as park being rennovated.

There is camping at Sonora Caverns. South Llano River State Park is great camping here in Junction but you may want to go further.

If in Tucson a great place to visit is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. It is not far off of the interstate.

Besides the excellent suggestion above, there is also the western section of Saguaro National Park just a few miles down the road from the Desert Museum. And Old Tucson Movie Location is just a few miles away in the opposite direction. One can easily fill an entire day in this one area, especially since there is a decent restaurant at the museum.
