Hey all!

Moving into a new home soon - was hoping to get some of these plants identified in our future backyard. Have a puppy that enjoys trying to taste everything in sight and wish to see if some protective measures are needed. I know most plants aren't healthy to consume, but don't want anything that is oleander/sago level of bad.

Plus, just may be helpful just to know in case we need to replace things in the future.

Location is Sugar Land, TX.

Any help appreciated!

1 Rose (non-toxic)

2 Golden thryallis (cannot find info)

3 ???

5 Loropetalum AKA Chinese fringe-flower (non-toxic)

6 Lantana TOXIC | Rose (non-toxic)

1 is a rose, maybe Martha Gonzales
2 looks like thriallis
4 one in the back almost looks like some kind of citrus
5 looks like Nandina
6 left looks like a lantana of some sort, maybe yellow or purple creeping type.
7 is a hibiscus
8 rose of some sort?
9 Chinese privet?
11 foxtail fern on right

Rest look like annuals of various types.

The wife here.... Thanks for the help! We numbered and labeled the pics to make it easier. Is #3 really a rose? Kinda looks like 3 different plants -- especially the tall leaves on the right.

You can have a large difference in roses. Drift roses, antique roses, knockout roses, and others.

#3 is definitely a rose. many roses have different colored vegetation based on new vs old growth. In your pic, the darker leaves are the new growth, then they fade to green over time. That particular rose is a simple/single bloom rose meaning it has just one "row" of petals. A popular example of a rose like that is Mutabilis Rose
