I am going to be purchasing one of these beauties this afternoon to replace my 1911 as my ranch sidearm. Initially, I was heart set on a 10mm with a 6" barrel to have the option to use it as a serious hunting pistol, but now I'm completely off the rails. Does anyone have experience with either of these Hk's? I had a usp .40, but let it go after shooting a Hi-power. Which one would you pick? The expert 9 is $1499 and the Elite is $1125.

I have the Expert in .45, the Elite is the one USP I haven't owned.

Are they both V1s?

Whichever one you have ammo for is what I'd go with, either will serve you well.

Nah. He wants one with a decent trigger.

Yes, Both v1's. I went ahead with the Elite because I should be able to get comparable ballistics to the 10mm shooting .45 supers. Does the tuning weight make a big difference for you?

Honestly, no. Its already a *****cat to shoot in stock form.

I just like how it looks, and have a USP-T if I want to carry or shoot something lighter.

I am. Own more CZs and spend more time shooting CZs than anything else.

But I also own or have owned a lot of other guns, and carried/taken classes/competed with them too, including H&Ks.

Variety is the spice of life.

I'm hoping to print like that with mine. I will purchase the weight with no shame then. I was trying to ignore the fact that I wanted it because it looks rad. I'll know next weekend, I'm waiting to shoot it with my son. I'm sure he'll insist on filming.
