Looking to put a gunrack in my new CanAm Defender and looking for recommendations from the all knowing OB. Want to do a overhead I think as my
dog rides in the seat next to me or on the floorboard where you would mount a floor rack. Looking at Blac-Rac now. Pricey but got the cool factor.

I have a Koplin in mine, works exactly like it should with no issues. Didn't cost an arm and a leg either - less than $100 off of Amazon.



I have this one on the roll bar between the front and back seat where I put my AR. Quick and easy access, surprisingly secure grip. The butt is on the seat, muzzle facing up and have no issues with some pretty good bouncing around.



This is overhead. Only thing I did above and beyond was to figure out the exact length they needed to be between the roll bars and added about 1/4", then used a hammer to tap them into place where they were extremely tight. Added a self tapping screw to the sides to lock the length in place. They haven't moved one bit. $80 off of Amazon.

I did a couple of vice grips on the bar behind the seat.

would these work for a jeep as well? i'm looking for some kind of rifle retention to go on the roll bars

Agree! Yes - it is not overhead but it is easy to remove and they even make one that can hold ARs.

You should check out Big Sky Racks . Sky Bar series for UTV roll bar mounts. I have one in my Ranger. Really well built. Good quality. Little more pricey but you get what you pay for.

Those should fit on anything square or round. If the round bar is much bigger, the screws and clamp might not work. I'd get them and check it out for sure. Gun doesn't move at all when seated in there

Which Ranger do you have? I want an overhead but seeing mixed reviews on fitment. I have a 2020 Ranger Crew 570 Midsize.

This the one I use. It's mounted in a ranger.

My Ranger is a 2011 model 500 EFI. The rack is overhead and has worked well for me.

The Texas Hold Em gun racks are a game changer.

Big Country Outdoors has sells the scabbard with a mount they fabricate that attached to the side of the UTV. We have a set on ours which we are happy with.
