I have had my current pair of boots for almost 12 years and they are starting to wear out in the back and the inside bends down when i slip them on. ive done some reading and a lot of people really like elephant because its comfortable i just dont know if its $300 more comfortable. Ill wear these to the office most days and if we ever go dancing, thats why this hybrid sole looks nice

I inherited a pair of Tony Lama Elephants from an uncle that passed away. I have since passed them to my son, but I had them re-soled etc. I don't remember the price tag but I think it was in the $160 neighborhood. Of course, the re-sole job was done in the 1990s or early 2000s, so $300 may be on par with today.

Good looking boots and Anderson Bean has been a great boot for myself and quite a few of my buddies. I love the fit and they have held up very well over the years.

I love my grey Anderson Bean elephant boots. Would not hesitate to buy them again. But each person has a different foot. Try them on and see what you think.

Love my elephants. Little tough to break in compared to ostrich and a few others but overall my favorite go to boot.

My wife had a pair she re-soled four times.....just fantastic feel and wear. She finally wore them out after the fourth sole. So a couple of months ago we both bought a pair of Rios of Mercedes. First place we looked was NRS in Decatur. Salesman tells us that the elephant skin are so expensive because they are extinct. I asked him to say again. He said, "yeah, the elephant is now extinct.....that's why they cost so much."

We chuckled, he didn't have the color/size we were looking for so we wound up buying a pair from Davis Boots at the snaffle bit futurity last November.

Love my elephants. Still look as good as the day I got them after 2 years of almost daily wear.
