Just got a new 9MM CMMG Banshee (ordered in August and just arrived)

I took it to the range today for the first time. First 75 rounds were a mixture of federal 115g and winchester 124g win clean. All of these ran flawlessly from both new and old glock mags.

Switched to PMC 115g and got a malfunction that I haven't experienced. After I fired, the casing ejected fine and the next round chambered fine. I couldn't pull the trigger - it felt like the safety was on. I think the trigger had reset ok. This happened over and over. Sometimes I could make the round fire by flipping the safety selector on and off and sometimes had to remove mag and eject round so that i could move the safety selector.

Any ideas?

Did you go back to the original ammo you were firing after the malfunctions to see if it continued?

Not safe to own, should probably sell. I'll start the bidding at $1

I will say that I was pretty impressed with the accuracy.

This is 15 yards from a rest.

This is 20 yards from the shoulder.

Run some different ammo through it with some different mags if you have them. I have the banshee in 9mm and 45 and they are my favorite guns to shoot. Never had a single failure in either one so I'm interested to hear what happens

***Update***

Took it apart, cleaned it, lubricated it better than I had the first time.

Took to range this AM and ran 2 boxes of the PMC out of various mags without a failure.
Must have just been still breaking in and maybe not lubricated enough.

It is a sweet gun. Thinking about ordering the 10mm version - maybe with the 8 in barrel.

Don't buy the 10mm version, ammo is already hard enough to find.

The 10mm Banshee is my favorite in my collection.

look for a primer or some other foreign body stuck under the rear of the trigger in the lower.

I recreated the malfunction, but this is what I have experienced several times

glad you got it sorted. i love my banshee, the only issue i've ever had that it (or at least mine) apparently does not like PMAGS

I'm jonesing for the CMMG Banshee MK47. Something about 7.62x39 from a machine pistol intrigues me.

Love my 10mm banshee. It may actually prompt me to get a suppressor

I'm also a big fan of the Banshee. Ordered the 9mm about 6 months ago knowing it would take several months. A couple of weeks after placing the order my gun range had a brand new one for sale and I bought it on the spot. I figured a second one wouldn't hurt or I could sell it for pretty close to what I paid. I ordered the 10mm 5 months ago and that one should be ready, I'm guessing, within the next couple of weeks. I'm really looking forward to the 10mm (especially when my suppressors arrive) to throw in a bag with my Glock 20.
