What's the scoop on this rifle? Only thing I saw on TexAgs was a 2019 Shot Show comment about it's ugly looks. On paper it seems like a good rifle for the money. Local shop has one for $1200. Want to try long range shooting.

The other rifle I've looked at is a Tikka CTR, which would be a little bit cheaper.

I'm intrigued as well but like the looks of the Pro model.

I just got into long range and went with the Bergara HMR. Sub MOA out if the box for around $800.

I know Tikka is awesome too but I like the fact Bergara is based in Remington 700 action so mags etc are easy to get.

If it's new, I would jump on it. DD guarantees it will shoot at least .75MOA. Then again, I don't care if some other guy wants to wear round or square toe boots

I really want a 300 win mag, but I think it would be difficult to get one for both long range (ie heavier) and a stalking type rifle for elk (ie lighter weight). So I'm thinking 6.5mm to play with long range and then get a Tikka light weight in 300 win mag for stalking type hunting. In either scenario, the barrel needs to be threaded because it'll have my Omega 300 attached.

That's either used or he hasn't been able to move it and is fire selling. Can't find one below 1,700 anywhere.

Probably a good buy at 1,200, if new, I think it's overpriced at 1,700 based on what else is available.

Bergara 14 HMR at another store is $999, but for a few hundred more, the DD seems like the better choice.

The shop has the regular Delta 5. Also had the Sig Cross but the shop had to pull it because of the recall. It looks like the Ruger and Savage Chassis guns, and it was a lot lighter than the RPR and Savage. The Sig would be on the list, but they need to get over the recall.

Anyone with experience shooting 6.5 CM out a 20" barrel? Seems like you would lose the benefits? I've got a Bergara 24" and a AR 22".

Barrel length is what held me back on the Sig (before the recall) and DD. I'm a Sig fan boy but always admired DD.

Love my m400 Tread and 716i .308. I run 16" and 18" .308.

You're not losing much with a 20" barrel over a 22"-24" barrel.

I shoot a 20" barrel out of one of my precision rifles. Honestly very little difference in velocity. I opted for the shorter barrel due to length with a suppressor.

Guy at the gun store said the Sig would miss fire. I really liked the Sig, don't remember the price, but I don't think it was much different than the RPR, Savage or DD.

I got to tour the Daniel Defense factory when I was stationed In South Carolina. Got to shoot the Delta 5 at a range with them. Sweet rifle IMO and very cool process for how they manufacture the barrel. I've wanted one, but have no need for one at the moment.
