I am a larger waisted fella. I am continually working on that, but being over 40 makes it harder to do. While I don't need to EDC, since I am at home about 90% of the time these days, there are times when I want to carry.

That said, dunlop can make that painful, and since I wear boots a lot, I figured a calf/boot holster would work well. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that would clip to the inside of my boot upper or for a decent calf holster?

I realize that this is not optimal for carry in terms of speed, etc, but having one on me, versus not, is preferable.

I recently bought this one to carry my LCP 380 for backup. It's rated for slightly bigger guns too. Has an additional pocket for a second mag. I usually pocket carry my main weapon because I can't stand carrying IWB or OWB, no matter what holster I've tried I find it very uncomfortable. On the other hand this holster is very comfortable, I can barely tell it's there.

I have almost the exact same leg/calf/ankle holster. I've used for a Sig P365, Glock 26, Glock 43X and FNS 9c while wearing Justin western work boots. It'll work well with anything in that size range.

Have you tried carrying at the 5 o'clock position? I have a bit of a gut and typically carry OWB at 3 o'clock and IWB at 5 o'clock for comfort.

5'o clock may work. I may have to give that a try also.

I use 2 options for boots:
#1 I have a Clipdraw mounted permanently & so I clip pistol inside front of boot shaft
#2 sometimes above is not comfortable on some boots (short shaft ropers) so I also use a Versacarry - the old original version clipped in the same position as above

That clipdraw would be simple to mount to my 365 lower and then if I got tired of it, for $45 I could replace it.

I recently got a JM4 Tactical and am impressed. IWB with magnetic clip that would likely work with a boot if there is enough volume leftover in the top.

I called JM4 tactical and they indicated that their original holster would probably work in a boot top with my Sig 365.

I also saw this on youtube about Fat Guy holsters...warning...you see a fat ass fellas gut.
