Well got to enjoy a trip of a lifetime. Got out of my comfort zone to hunt with a buddy in Montana. All I can say is if you are a waterfowler you need to visit Montana for a duck hunt. I met so many great Americans while we were up there. The wildlife just blew me away I hunted 4 days from 60 degrees to single digits. We visited Yellowstone and had a blast. The hunting took place on Yellowstone river and Bighorn river. We hunted big dark geese one day but struck out the warm day just didn't have many birds moving. Crazy thing for me was were expecting to shoot mallards but that was not the case. We had one good mallard hunt on back river water. Most ducks we shot were grey ducks, wigeon, pintails and goldeneye. I hope the birds we hunted show up in Texas soon. Some of the coldest weather they have had was this last week so just a day late and dollar short. Still was an overall amazing trip. Take my word that every outdoorsman should visit the state of Montana. Also they had rifle ammo tons of little guns stores in every little town was able to find just about every caliber and brought some home.
