I like to reward jobs well done and that's what I'm going to do right now. I took a deer to Bobby Merchant a few years ago on the recommendation of a close friend. When I dropped it off, I naturally went & checked out his other stuff to make sure my trophy was in good hands. I was very impressed.

I just picked up my 3rd deer from him & he's still going above & beyond my expectations. You can't appreciate his attention to detail until you see it in person. The guy is just an artist. In an age when we're so quick to post a scathing review, I wanted to do something different.

Thanks. These are all mature Mexico bucks and those capes takes a natural beating. He does a great job fixing what needs fixing and incorporating what doesn't into his art. He's humble about it, but I've seen him in there with a tiny file carving out detail on mannikins. I notice those things & know that's just the kind of pride he takes in his work.
