Just when you think 2020 couldn't get any worse, it's looking like USPS may have lost my suppressor.

An 07 FFL/02 SOT company in Colorado has had my suppressor for months for recore work. They notified me work was finished and they were mailing it back to me. They sent it insured 3 day priority mail, and it was supposed to deliver to me on 11/4. Tracking says it's "in transit arriving late", but the last scan was almost a week ago when it was received in Denver. It appears that it was never scanned out of Denver.

I've talked with multiple USPS workers (in person and on phone), and none seem to care about a potentially lost NFA item. Each one has said it's probably coming, but delayed because of staffing issues that are COVID related. I get that, but at what point do I need to report this missing to law enforcement?

The correct word is stolen. My dad had four replacement driver's licenses stolen in the mail. Talked to the head guy in Austin DPS that admitted it was widespread. The workers know what to look for in certain items. Just like mail in ballots.

Each day that goes by, I lean more towards stolen. No one just loses a serialized NFA item. ATF will likely get a call from me on Monday.

Shipped a rifle priority from MT to GA. Shipped on a Tuesday, Supposed to get there on a Friday. The next Monday came around and the package still didnt show a departure scan. And it said 'in transit, arriving later than expected' or some thing like that. The rifle finally showed up in an Atlanta area distribution center on the next Monday, made its destination on a Thursday. 16 days to get there. Only thing they can imagine is that it went out on the ground shipments

You still have hope.

I hope so. I really don't want to get back in the NFA line to replace this one, even if the insurance makes me whole again on the financial loss.

USPS once took a order I had from Primary Arms to Puerto Rico before delivering it to me. When I saw it go to Puerto Rico while tracking, I called Primary Arms up. The lady there said they had a package go to Germany once before going to the customer's home in one of the northeastern states.

They'll get to your suppressor later. Don't you know they have a few hundred thousand more pedoJoe ballots to get to Pa and Mi?

Just order otc hunting tag from Colorado parks and wildlife . Webpage said it's taking 20 days to ship usps. I paid the extra $35 to ship priority . Shows up next day via fedex . Odd thing is it shipped from dallas. I think the govt outsourced both shipping and the tag printing... cause they can't get nothing right under their supervision.

I've had items sit at USPS hubs for 4-5 days recently but never that long. Hopefully it'll show up OP!

FedEx, UPS, DHL. Screw USPS, but I'm sure they will get a bailout soon.

Look when you have an organization as large as usps screw ups are boumd to happen. The guy that delivers my mail(who i was friends with in middle school and highschool) said there have been alot of changes in the last year at usps. He thought it was more money/budget related, but just said a lot has changed.

I bought ammo from an online shop this week, and it was shipped FedEx. The package arrived empty and the security tape was clearly cut. Both the gun store and FedEx claim they can't confirm it was delivered empty so neither will refund or replace. I'm out $150 and 200 rds of .380acp

That sucks, sorry man!

You use a credit card? Call them up and file a claim tomorrow. They'll probably take care of you.

Everything I've had shipped usps is delayed recently. I wouldn't worry too much. It'll show up.

I'd stop calling line level employees and call the USPIS.

Made a report today with ATF and my local PD.

I tried filling a report with the Denver PD since the last known location was the Denver USPS hub. Denver PD wasn't any help, and told me to report it to the US Postal Inspection Service. USPIS could not have cared less about the situation. I'm somewhat amazed how this isn't treated with more concern by the different agencies. Makes you wonder what would grab their attention.
