Adopted a 5 month old border collie/german shepherd mix over the weekend from a rescue org. The foster parents told me he got into some red ants and that the vet told them to go ahead an apply some medicine they had previously given him for an ear infection - the medication is Malmetazone. The bites seem to be healing but some more became visible after he was with us for a day so just want to check and make sure everything looks ok to someone with more experience. Cause for concern or all good?

We have an appointment scheduled for tonight but were thinking of cancelling, looks like we'll be headed there after all!

Can't help with the ants, but I've got a border collie / shepherd mix that is going on 14 years old. Damn good dog. Smart. Good luck with your pup.
