So I have a new grill and a new house. When i built my house i had the plumbers install a shut off valve on the patio for the propane that runs through the home.

I finally set up my grill. The hose and regulator on it does not reach the propane valve on the wall.

What kind of hose do I need to connect from the valve on my house to the hose on my grill?

Is it that simple or do I need to provide more information?

Really hoping its not something I have to hire a plumber to come out to do.

You can get a longer hose or an extension but you'll need to know what fittings you have. Post a pic of your valve and your grill hose end.

Is it propane or natural gas?

Lowes has a longer hose with the right fitting on the grill side. You'll likely need a threaded adapter or two on the house side.

My question is can I leave the hose thats already on the grill (like an extension cord) or am I suppose to replace it all with one long hose?

I am not sure if there is a regulator going from the tank to our house or if there is a regulator to each appliance. Do i need a regulator on the grill if there is one already going to the house? Is there something wrong with having two regulators?
