I've just returned from overseas and will be spending Labor Day at a family event in Brenham. Any leads on opportunities for a dove hunt in the area? Likely 5 guns (Dad, brother, me, nephews).

Additionally, if anyone has a lead on hunting lease opportunities IVO Fort Hood that would be welcome as well. Anywhere I could put up a feeder/blind for bow or rifle would be great. After an extended stay in Korea I'm just looking for an opportunity to put some venison in the fridge.

Ft. Hood and Camp Bullis have hog/deer hunting options. Go to isportsman.com and find the location. Bullis is slug and archery only and cannot bait. Cheap way to get out though!

Thanks, Bullis is a little farther than I want to drive. Last time I was at Ft. Sam Bullis was a lottery system that I'm guessing is already complete. I've hunted on Hood before and didnt like the setup.
