I have had the zipper bust after fully zipped and it will not function properly now. It messed up in one spot but now it is messed up in several spots. It will not stay closed. Has anyone had this happen and were you able to fix it. The teeth do not seem to have any dings or are oriented the wrong way. It just seems like the teeth do not click together when zipping but zipper is on track.

I had a problem with the RTIC that they sold from the Houston Rodeo a few years ago. Google "How to fix a zipper" and you will probably be able to fix it yourself.

Call them. They'll either replace it, or give you a credit to their store. Their warranty makes their soft coolers worth buying.

I've had it happen to three of their soft-sided coolers. The zipper seems to eventually malfunction regardless of how "easy" you treat it. However- they have replaced them every time with new ones after filing the repairs claim. Great customer service.

Had it happen. Sent a couple pics to Yeti customer service.

They replied with 5 Yetis I could choose from to replace with. I Just chose the latest version of the cooler. Sent it to me in 2 days.

They'll send you a return shipping label and will allow you to pick one of the new ones or a item that has the same cost. Took about a week and a half to get the new one. It's really easy.

They should upgrade you to the magnetic flap which is what they have moved to...likely due to all of the zipper malfunctions. I have the backpack that is a little easier but the one with the side zipper has locked up and busted twice. Each time they replaced with no questions asked.

I got the magnetic flap as a replacement.

Absolutely hate it. Seals well, PITA to deal with.

Same experience here. They replaced my Hopper with a Hopper Backflip. It was a very easy process. I suspect they had issues with the regular Hopper zipper and replaced with the magnet.

Is it sarcasm that you do not like the magnetic flap?

Kind of off topic, but I had this same thing happen to an RTIC soft sided cooler over this past weekend. Anybody have any luck with similar issues?

Question for those with failed zippers? Do you lube them? The RTIC soft side I bought came with zipper lube. I don't use it frequent enough to lube it often. I'm wondering if applying lube will help the zipper life.

I've had an rtic soft cooler for several years and most of the time use it almost weekly. I have probably only lived the zipper 3-4 times since it was new. No problems.

I have an RTIC 55 that the plastic is separating on. My hard sided Yeti's are older and have held up much better. Same for the soft coolers too. Don't think I'll be buying any more RTIC products.
