Long story short my lcp ii is all of the sudden giving me a lot of issues. Magazine is releasing at least once every 5 rounds and the gun is jamming as well. This is with several different types of ammo ranging from plinking ammo to gold dot.

So I am sending it back to ruger with the hope that it will run as well as it did when I bought it six months ago but we will see. I'm up for any recommendations. I wear scrubs 90 percent of the time and typically pocket carry. No belt. I'm constantly bending over chasing dogs and cats so I'm limited with what and how I carry. I've got a glock 43x but I want something a little smaller. Again, my main concern is reliability. Thanks for any input.

The Glock .380 is as reliable as a Sig 232. And that is saying a lot.

I can't say if you can pocket-carry one, as I don't know the size of your pockets....

My bersa thunder 380 is awesome same size as a Walther ppk and you don't even really feel it in your pocket

How about a bely band and a little larger framed gun? Unless you work in a hot environment.

I just bought a Sig P365 SAS on recommendation of a friend-haven't even fired it yet-so, consider that.
Don't think is much larger than most .380 and the SAS designation (forget what it means) is designed for pocket- smoother, less things you hang up

Just as a warning, that little gun will blow your ears out. The ported barrel definitely adds quite a bit of noise. I was stupid one day to shoot one round without hearing protection, just to see how loud it really was. My ears were ringing for 10 minutes. Needless to say, I don't carry it anymore when I'm hunting at night.

Colt Mustang pocketlite Plus II if you can find one.

My friend's 380 Glock has only been reliable with Hornady Critical defense.

My Browning 1911-380 runs great, provided your hands are not too large to release the grip safety, and barely recoils, but might be a bit big for most pockets.

The original double action LCP is my favorite for pocket carry. I also have a Glock 42 (a bit on the large size) and a PPK (non/s), which is way too heavy for scrubs or pockets without a belt.

Edit: for your needs (scrubs), I'd look at starting out at 10 oz or less before load.

My Glock 42 was great, I sold it though and replaced it with a sig p365. It is just as easy to pocket carry for me. I use a pocket holster from Alabama holster co.

My wife has the Bodyguard .380 which had some issues with the screw in the laser. Got that fixed. Very reliable now. I actually keep this one in the truck now.

She switched to the Ruger LCP and loves it. It has never had a problem, save for being a little dry out of the box.

Pocket carry a P365 and like it.

I had a Ruger LCP2 that would not feed reliably so i got rid of it and bought a Springfield 911. It has been very reliable and has a much better trigger.

I would look into the micro 9MM.

Sig has one, 365. It rocks.

Glock has one
Walther has one
M&P

All great brands. They are not much bigger than your .380 carry pistols.

How big are y'all's pockets to pocket carry a P365, more specifically with the 12 round magazine? That is a lot of weight and a pretty big gun.

My LCP has not had any issues but even with the extended magazine is not the most fun to shoot. The majority of the time it is the P365 appendix carry and very rarely I will do the belly band.

Recently acquired a P365. In jeans, it fit easily. Printed as a mid-sized cell phone would (10rd mag)

12 rd, isn't that the P365 XL? Which is bigger.

12 round is something you can buy to get a full grip and not have your pinky hanging. Makes it much more comfortable to shoot.

Of course, I knew that and glossed right over - so yes, with that extension it's going to print much larger and I'd opt for a holster at that point. Nice to have options with that little gun.

My LCP II has been very reliable, can't recall a single FTF or FTE with FMJ or HP ammo. Best of the bunch in the micro-pistol arena, great trigger. Hope yours is satisfactorily repaired by Ruger.

I agree, my LCPII works very well and is reasonably accurate up to 15 yards. The sights suck though and I wouldn't consider it to be anything more than a point and shoot at more than 5 yards without a Crimson Trace laser.

That was my experience for the first six months. Complete opposite recently. Really liked how easy it was to conceal and I shot it very well. Hopefully it comes back g2g

I had that same issue. It was a weak mag catch spring. I thought for a while I was bumping the release.

I called Ruger and they made it right. Their CS is top of the industry IMO.

You will have to send it in. It spent more time in the mail than in their shop when I sent mine.

Came here to say the same. When I had a Bersa Thunder it was a good gun and a good size

Yea for the 365 I don't pocket carry with the 12 round mag, just the 10. If carrying IWB I put the 12 rounder in.

It fits fine in my shorts or in my jeans pockets ( I wear Wrangler so if you are a skinny jean guy it may not work)

Sit Anti Snag is what SAS stands for. Pretty neat gun.

I've got the P365XL. Don't pocket carry it. Too big for that.

Don't think I'd wanna pocket carry the standard P365 either.

I've got a Bodyguard for pocket carry. Hate that gun but it serves it purpose.

Same here. Have never had a problem with it.
