We're in Port A and there were a lot of Jeeps and trucks with various wheels sunk into the sand, obviously intentional. Is this a thing, and why?

About 13 years ago I took the family down to the beach past Bob Hall in our Durango. Promptly got stuck up to the doors. Said a prayer. Immediately this guy shows up I a lifted 4X4 truck with huge tires and a pull strap. had me out in seconds. I was stuck less than 5 minutes. He hops in his trucks and takes off. Wouldn't take any money. He said he does it all day for kicks. Good guy!

OK, one was a pickup with both rear wheels sunk, so that fits 78's answer. Saw a Jeep with front drivers wheel buried, I guess Mose nailed that one.

I'd have thought you'd have learned after the first time.

Air down to 20 PSI. You roll right out like it is nothing. People try to get stuck then try to get out, I swear.

I can't get my nissan stuck in sand. It just doesn't have trouble with sand. My W2wD suburban on the other hand has gotten stuck a couple of times before I learned the driving and other tricks.

They're doing it wrong. Apparently you are actually supposed to rock crawl up and park your 44" tire on top of your buddy's 44" tire.
