The guy I used to use retired a few years ago.

Looking to possibly take a trip early July. Would love a guide who could get us on a few fish on topwater or slabs.

+1. Can't recommend this enough.

Edit: he's also a world class casting instructor. You'll get lots of good tips on any trip but he'll also do a casting lesson/fishing trip combo if that something you're interested in.

Hold up, there is a fly-fishing guide for Texoma? How am I just now hearing about this? I've always went fishing with live bait on Texoma. I'm going to have to check this guy out.

Steve Hollensed has been guiding Texoma using fly rods for 20 + years. He was a high school Physics and Chemistry teacher in Gunter, TX prior to that. He is a FFFI Master Casting Instructor and is on the FFFI Board of Governors for Fly Casting Instruction. (also one of my very best friends and we teach fly fishing classes together).

Dad and I went back in December of 18 - cold morning but worth it. These are some of the big ones we caught. We went with Sparkys Guide Service, our guide was named David. Would recommend.

Last year's successful rec thread. I went again in October with John Blasingame and had another very good day in spite of terrible weather.

Booked with Steve for early July to chase down some stripers with a fly rod! Happy birthday to me!!! I'm pumped to try and check off another species on the fly rod list- especially one I didn't expect to ever get!
