I'm sick of paper targets and setting stuff up. Thinking about getting this:

https://www.yankeethunder.com/collections/frontpage/products/hang-n-hook-target-kit

Anyone know of better targets?

Also, check out that guys' video on the site. Pretty funny dude.

Two of the targets I just torched. The third is a Bigfoot in midstride. Didn't get to finish him yet as I ran out of O2.

I have two of the hook sets, they work well. I had to get a little better pipe for the top rail because with a 10", 8", 6" and 4" all in 3/8" steel there was a lot of bend before and then a lot of bounce after each shot.

I bought this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/283068155351

And this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263880047743

To hang these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153930101619

I had pipe laying around. I drilled holes in a 2'x2' 3/4" piece of plywood to fit the hangers so I can staple targets to.

All the stuff I bought on eBay is cut from ar500.

I went with something very similar that I sourced from Amazon but it is made to have a 2x4 for the cross beam instead of conduit. Didn't get that good of a deal on the gongs, so I just picked up a set of those, thanks!

I had his auction "watched" for a day or so and he sent me an offer of $37.50. You might shoot for that as a best offer.

Too late. I already pulled the trigger. I forgot if you watch for a while, they would do that.

So my son, who is eight, has discovered all of the coolness and glory of .410 shotguns. His specifically is an old, pristine, bolt action Mossberg.

Anyway he loves the thing, and comes up with all of these great ideas on what to shoot with it. Last weekend it was a 2 liter of DP and a sleeve of Mentos candies. He dropped the candies in, closed the top set it down, and blew it the **** away. I mean that thing exploded like someone dropped a hand grenade in it. It was totally awesome. Apparently his teacher did it during some science experiment before we all got locked down(minus the .410)

On a side note, this gun is a perfect example of they don't make them like they used to. The stock on it is a beautiful piece of patterned wood that would be an upgraded upgrade today. It has a glossy blue finish and the action feels like a Winchester rifle, not a bolt action shotgun. Crazy how nice it is. I bought it during the black rifle craze following the Sandy Hook tragedy for $100. I had one just like it growing up but it was stolen years ago.

Fire hose is the best thing for hanging rifle targets. With chain or metal hooks a few unlucky shots and you'll have to replace parts. Fire hose will take tons of
bad shots before failing.

I really, really want to make a bullet trap. Or have one made more accurately. I cast and reload and this kind of setup pays off massive dividends these days over time. Can never have enough lead.

These are even more fun if you full them with gas and set them next to a fire.... Or so I've heard.
