During this stay at home time our crew has been spending lots of time in the garage. It's great now, but will be hot as heck soon. Are there any good fans that don't cost an arm an a leg? Maybe something that mounts on the wall. Thanks!

A couple $16 Walmart box fans have worked for me for years now.

I have a wall- mounted 20" oscillating fan. Metal blades. Hurricane is the brand I think. That sucker is awesome in the heat of summer. Really moves some air.

I just picked up this one for my garage gym. It surprisingly moves a lot of air for the size.

Careful with the oversized fans if you have gas water heaters in the garage. They can put the pilot light out. Ask me how I know.

I'm talking about the big gym locker room fans.

I got a 20" lasko from Wally and it is pretty good. A little loud, but it seems that any fans under like 4' in diameter are loud. I mounted mine high on the wall and have it on a wifi switch so I turn it on with the phone.

Because the fire department showed up and you had to thank them for their service

Um, no. I just had to relight the pilot light.

I kid but we usually get calls similar to that. Smell of gas somewhere but I don't know where I am or know the name of the street.

This is us too. I've almost thought about buying a portable A/c unit even.

Those small ones will move air but they're also loud as hell. You want a bigger one that goes slowly and it's not direct drive. I've not unassed the money yet but would live this one. I saw it at the Sema show and you can't hear anything but it would blow your clothes off Only problem is it will take your entire stimulus check

On edit I thought they were like two grand but they're actually six grand

The belt-drive units are the way to go, for good air movement with reasonable noise.
Tractor Supply's smallest one is a 36" unit....

The problem with the portable AC units are you spend all that time cooling the garage and then within 60 seconds of cracking the garage all the bought air is gone. Those units won't blow enough air to keep up with the big door being even halfway open.

Air King 9314 14-Inch Industrial Grade High Velocity Multi Mount Fan

I didn't price shop, so I really don't know how it compares in price. But got the recommendation from a friend for Air King. Mounted it on the wall and t's been great.

Man, this is what I need. I think I'm going to go for this. Anyone had any experience with these? How well does it help with Texas heat?

This si what I have: https://www.amazon.com/Hurricane-Wall-Mount-Fan-Residential/dp/B01FFT0BDG/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=hurricane+20%22+fan&qid=1587743291&sr=8-4

I also have an insulated garage door. Still gets pretty hot in there so I usually have it open. The rest of the garage is not insulated so I'm not sure why the previous owners put in an insulated door.

I need to get a couple of wall mount oscillating fans (hell, heaters too for the 2 weeks a year I need it), but for now the Harbor Freight shop fan works. I think ti's a 30" diameter maybe?

Edit - 24". Not quiet, not terribly loud either. Really great when the humidity is high here and there is moisture on the floor - drys it out quick.

No personal experience but the reviews look promising. Especially the one with the before and after temperature pics.

I have the 30" version of a wall mount air king. Got it free left over on a jobsite, they ordered the wrong thing. There were 4 and they were so damn big in the box I only kept 1 and tried to get others to take them nobody wanted them so threw them away. They are big and a pain in the ass to get put up but I wish I had kept all four I would have one in the other garage and two on the back porch. They move some air.
