How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ok guys need some help and advice here.

So I'm looking to get a golf cart with seats on the back. My budget is $2500-2800.

Am I going to find anything that isn't old and busted? Seems like people on FB marketplace/craigslist think their carts are worth the price of UTVs.

Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

I bought a clean 36v club car with fresh batteries a few months ago for $1800 off of Houston's Craigslist. It has the good bag holder on the back but you could build a seat fairly easily. They can be had, just have to look for a while.

Just wait a bit. $20 oil will have them listed back to reasonable prices soon enough.

I've seen some good deals come across the Classified Board here

Likely not that helpful but I'll throw it out there anyway. In 2013, we bought a clean '09 48V Club Car from Ennis Golf Carts outside of Austin for $3k. Brand new batteries, good tires, and price included installing rear seat plus an extended roof to cover the seats (which I highly recommend when using during the summer). I bought and installed a light kit myself. Had to finally replace the batteries last summer, so they lasted 6 yrs and we use the cart regularly including on some very steep hills.

Ennis buys all of their used carts from out of state as Texas carts show more wear from the sun. Our cart came from a Colorado golf club that was replacing their fleet.

No idea how much the golf cart market changes over the years, but this is pretty close to your budget. Given the virus, folks may be looking to dump luxury items due to income loss so you may be looking at the right time. The tricked out carts for sure are going to be way more. Best of luck in your search.

We bought our second one from Ennis as well

Good guys.

Personally I wouldn't buy a 36v. I bought one for our first cart & sold it in 2 weeks. It just didn't have any power; there were literally hills in our neighborhood were i could get out & walk faster than my wife could drive it. & that one had brand new batteries.

If you can wait a couple/few months, people will be looking to unload items like this at pretty good prices. Sad, but true. Anything that is a potential additional maintenance cost to keep running. Golf carts are just that.

Add to the list:

ATVs/UTVs
Boats
etc.

They will want to sell them while they are still running, cause broken gets a lot less.

Thank you China.

I have one in Belton I might sell. Battery powered, rear facing seats on back.

I just put an Alltrax 400A controller in my 36V cart and it made a huge difference. The amount of acceleration and torque it puts out doesn't even feel like the same cart anymore.
