I may get burned at the stake for this, but dollars to donuts, that that is a result of laziness and poor lifestyle choices. I don't have much sympathy for that. But I don't know this gentleman and he may have worked his tail off to lose 100 lbs in the last 4 months. And major props to him if he has, who knows. Just speaking in generalities, and generally speaking Americans are fat and lazy.

Yep I would have chosen a different model for the firearm if I could have.
I am still happy with the random capture of the fire sparc out of the muzzle. this was taken in Rosenberg at the open carry challenge. About 75 competitors and I did better than my last few outings so I am making progress.
Will be back out again this Saturday for the USPSA event.

What camera settings are you using?
I've got a nice camera I should try to use to get shots like this at our matches, but I'm even worse with a camera than I am with a pistol.

I have an entry level Canon and kit lenses. I rarely take it off of the action setting. If I do I go for a high shutter speed and let the camera take over the other settings.
Import into lightroom do a mass edit then dump to the net.
Well this guy did not shoot particularly well. Probably the last in our squad.

Everyone making fun of fat dude, so maybe Ill open myself up for some as well. Me shooting same day. Not my best or worst stage.

I'm trying to make the switch to full manual shooting but so many of my shots are utter trash on manual. Keep getting told to just keep at it, but it's always helpful to see what settings worked for others in similar conditions.

Expose for the face, consider using a polarizer or neutral density filter for those sunny day shots.
