Trying to decide which of these to get, I like them both and like the way they shoot, just trying to decide if the Sig is worth the extra $100+. Which would you carry?

I have both. For me the Sig is much easier to carry and has twice the capacity. I have daily carried an original 365 since they came out and recently switched to the XL

Have shot both. I was much better with the p365. Fit my hand very well.

Just remember the P365 extra cost can be justified with included night sights. Base shield does not. I'm an M&P fanboy but you can't go wrong with the Sig either. I have both and carry the Sig more often these days.

Both great guns.

Easy.....use the free test.

If the store let you choose which one you would take for free.

Which one would you choose?

That's the gun!

Actually that's easy.

More capacity
Night sights.

That's worth 100 for sure right there.

I would take the free one and buy the other one anyway

I have both.

The 365 is definitely a bit smaller (you can look up the length and height dimensions), has a higher capacity, and comes with better sights.

That being said, I had to send my first 365 back for failing to feed and bad primer strikes. After sending it in twice, Sig actually sent me a brand new one. I kept the gun but I still have feed issues depending on the kind of ammo I use. I also know many other people who have had, and continue to have, issues with this gun, even the new model where Sig allegedly fixed the strike problem.

My Shield M2.0 has never once failed on me in any way. It is a horse of a carry gun. The trigger spring, recoil spring, and magazine springs are all really, really solid, to the point that they need some serious breaking in because the gun operates so sharply and rigidly out of the box. Super reliable, and I would 100% trust my life with it. It's also approximately $140 cheaper. As far as ergonomics of carrying, the Shield is aporoximately 0.06 inches thinner, and while it doesn't seem like much, I do notice a difference with the p365 bulging out a little more.

Both are easy to pick up and shoot fairly accurately. If I had to recommend one over the other, I would honestly recommend the Shield because it has had zero mechanical issues.

Neither are a Glock. So there's that.

Interesting comments on the Sig. My brother just bought one and in the first box he had 3 shells not fire. He said it was cheap Monarch ammo, but I've ran a bunch of cheap shells through my Shield and I've never had a misfire.

Those who have switched between a 365 and 365xl what were the reasons for doing so? Just curious because my SO likes the 365 and I was just going to buy a second one of the same model.

I have a 365 that was from the initial waitlist from Eyeguy. It's the perfect EDC pistol and has been flawless. You do need to watch your support hand thumb and keep it low to keep from bumping the slide release. It wouldn't lock the slide back when shooting, until noticed my thumb was hurting . I "fixed" it immediately.

Strictly size. I have big hands and it is just easier to hold on to it. I also like the longer beaver tail on the XL That said, I still carry the 365 if I want to throw it in a pocket.

The main thing about the Shield is the recoil spring and the mag springs on those things are freaking rigid as hell. The women I've let shoot it have a hard time even racking the slide. It really doesn't matter if it's user error, cheap ammo, or dirt on the feeder. When you send a round, there is virtually no way it won't go back into battery. Like I said above...super reliable gun.

Have owned and carried a Shield for a long time. After shooting a 635 & 635XL, I just sold my Shield and my old Sig P250, and am awaiting delivery of a P365 XL with a RomeoZero.

The accuracy and capacity of the XL are remarkable for a gun this size.

Another vote for the Sig.

Another vote for the XL and echoing comments above.

I chose the XL because of hand size. I also like the flat trigger.

Having gone through several carry size pistols it's by far the best combination of size and comfort to shoot for me.

I have the first gen Shield and a regular 365, it is not even close. Ever since I purchased the 365 I have not carried my Shield any more. The 365 is easier to conceal, has a slightly fatter grip so fits my hand better, night sights, and more rounds. I will probably end up getting rid of my Shield in the long run

I shoot the P365 about as well as my G19 which is a much larger gun.

One more vote for the 365. I have one. Have sent about 1,000 rounds through it without a single failure. Super easy to conceal, and very comfortable to shoot for a micro pistol.

Appreciate the feedback. Going to shoot them again tomorrow but think I am going to go with the P365 XL. The standard night sites and extra capacity are going to push it over the top.

So, I love the 365. It has been the best seller that I've had over the last two years and after another year will probably be the top seller overall. Right now, it's slightly behind the Shield 1.0 and the Glock 43 but the Shield 1.0 was due to a massive sale we did on them a couple years back and the 43 has been out longer.

In regards to reliability, a lot of it does circle back to ammo used. Lighter stuff, especially hollow points, have had a higher tendency to be funky. 135gr and higher has been pretty damned reliable, from our experience. I really wouldn't want to use lighter ammo in it for defensive purposes anyways.

The XL is probably going to be a more reliable gun through different ammo types due to the geometry/longer recoil system.

I understand if you don't want to/can't state it publicly here, but what's your price on a 365XL?

Feel free to call or text me if you prefer.

Can you get the version with the Romeo Zero optic already installed? And if so, what's the price on that one?
