Howdy, it pains me to post this cuz it makes Marsha and I seem like dirty slobs, when in fact my wife with her near full blood German gene pool cleans almost continuously. However, here it is.

Conditions: 1. Live in Rockport, TX. 2. No kiddos or pets on anything in the house but us. 3. Very clean, 4. Have professional Pest Control quarterly. 5. No food left out, everything in pantry in zip locks or cans. 6. Floors swept daily, also, floors are hardwood. 7. No mulch or plants near foundation or windows. 8. Sprayed each week with supposed high quality bug spray.

Problem: About 2 months ago began seeing tiny to mid size brown cockroaches. Have gone out of our minds sweeping, spraying, having pros come in and the problem persists.

Question: Does OB know anything, anything at all that will help us kill these damn things. Every morning Marsha sweeps up 10 - 15 dead roaches. They are dead yes, but how many are not dead? Why are they not all dead?

Need to know what kind of roaches you're seeing.

Also, need to know what the pest control company is spraying with.

I'd fire them and DIY.

Buy Demon WP and Cyzmic CS from do your own pest control. Mix and spray thresholds (in and out).

But gotta figure out if they are German cockroaches or American woodroaches.

Make sure your sink/shower/bathtub drains are plugged. They can get in the house through the sewer system, which means that no amount of spraying in the house will help.

Seeing them dead means your pest control is working. It kills them.... doesn't make them turn and run. They come to the house, come in contact with the insecticide, get in the house and then die. Most likely they aren't crawling through your walls by the hundreds. But I concur the DIY method. It's too easily and saves $$$$. I'd extend your spraying to the yard and perimeter of the property if DIY. Try and kill them before they get to the house.

When we lived in Corpus Christi roaches were everywhere. Now in far north San Antonio, no roaches at all. Guess they dont like rocks and cedar.

Also, spend the money you save on new weatherstripping for all exterior doors and check all windows for small gaps.

If they are German roaches, they are already inside and have setup shop somewhere, need to find it and destroy it.

Have a house in Aransas Pass. Used a local outfit (Ingleside) for a couple of years...roaches ants all time. Even supplemental sprayed with Demon WP. One day a company showed up at the door(right before Harvey), and went over their program...they use Bayer products. I don't let them inside the house..only outside. We have not had a roach or ant inside the house...find dead ones outside.

Hawx Pestcontrol out of San Antonio.

How do they get through the plumbing traps?

You might also try a granule in the lawn for a broadened perimeter effect.

An Insect Growth Regulator can be mixed with the spray and is pretty effective. It has no knockdown effect but it helps to prevent future breeding populations in the event you have a bit of resistance to whatever chemical you are putting down.

I had a similar issue last year in Houston. Kept finding them dead but the wife was about ready to burn the house down. I think they had nested in one of my mulch flower beds as one day I saw a ton of them scatter trimming plants. I sprayed the crap out of it with Demon and with everything else applied it seemed to have fixed the issue. I am not a bug man, I just live in an old house with huge oak trees.

This stuff works amazing (I actually apply it in my outdoor kitchen to kill the roaches that want to live in my cabinets)

Roach Bait Gel

I spread this all over my yard

Yard Granules

Then I used this inside & outside around the perimeter of the house

Insecticide

If you think they are coming up from the drains you can use a combination of these. Worked for me with spring tails that were coming out of the drains.

Bio-Drain and this CyKick

You can get a lot of this stuff on amazon as well. DIY is just easier to link. Good luck!
