I just wanted to pass this along. I saw today that Ryan from Backline Fabrication is doing a sale. This is the guy who made smokers for Pustka BBQ (AustinAgChef) and Wadd96. He also built the hog smokers at Banger's in Austin, among other things. He did a non-bbq project for me recently and went above and beyond what I expected. He impressed me so much that I am having him build me something cool for a backyard kitchen next year. Hell, I might even get a 250 on a trailer for ****s and giggles, too. Anyways, I have no skin in the game but I just wanted to pass along a good price on good quality smokers from a good man. If y'all are in the market, check him out!

Yeah, he's doing some cool live fire stuff. I'm leaning toward a Santa Maria for my backyard but we'll see what we come up with.

So here's what he did for me recently. It's not smoker related but it is a testament to his attitude and quality of his work. I had seen this pic on his website and thought, man, that would be a cool Halloween decoration if he could make a steel jack-o-lantern like that.

I called him up and he said sure, he'd do it. I was totally expecting something similar: a silver two dimensional pumpkin but with a cool/scary face. He had another idea: he went all out and gave me this! 3D, painted, wickedly awesome...the boy's good!!!

That is awesome, his stuff on the website is awesome. If ya dont mind what did that set you back? Any issues with HOA or anything?

You think I'm in danger of the HOA? You clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger. I am the danger! A guy opens his door and gets an HOA letter and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!

Breaking Bad jokes aside, I don't have an HOA. And the neighbors love it!!! As far as price, I paid $500.

Additionally, Ryan is putting together a little raffle with proceeds going to charity. The winner gets $5000 towards a custom build (smoker, grills, whatever you want him to build)!
