Looking to buy a road feeder 2" receiver hitch mounted.

Taking a look at the lamco low pro for convenience.

Any suggestions? Brands/models to avoid? Got a buddy selling one?

Thanks

I've got a Lamco on my Jeep. Spins and throws corn like a champ (not unlike their Stand and Fills). But, the remote is tethered, not wireless. Also, the receiver joint sticks out way to far. I'm guessing it's to allow for a truck tailgate to lower and not hit the feeder; but, on my deer lease Jeep, it's just excess torque/wobble/noise. Regardless, I'll be slinging corn with it tomorrow morning in McMullen Co.

Try a little hitch bracket. Should take the wobble/rattle off it.

I have an ASF 100LB HERCULES ROAD FEEDER with there utv receiver hitch z bracket. It works great on my '12 polaris but it doesn't let the tailgate all the way down on my '19. Doesn't really matter all that much as you still have to lift over the feeder anyway.

This works great and you can leave the drawbar in without worrying about some jackhole stealing it.

We bought one at Buccee's a few years ago. It works great. it is tethered also.

We have 17 guys on our lease and 3-4 years ago, there was a huge mixed bag of feeder brands being used. Now, most everybody has converted over to Lamco exclusively (600 lb. low-and-throw units for their standard feeders and their road feeders for trucks). The quality of their builds is just a level higher than the competitive brands (All Season Feeders, Texas Hunting Products, etc.).

We have a mixed bag also on our place. The lamco is liked the best, but the cheaper ones that have been used for many more years are still going strong. Have replaced a few controllers and made some wireless. I find it fun repairing the old ones and saving some cash, new ones are rock solid but expensive!

I have a Texas Hunter Products Road Feeder. I love the thing mainly because of the wireless remote. No hooking anything up. It has a compartment for a normal 12V deer feeder battery inside the feeder. I also like it because it scatters the corn so that ALL of it falls in the road, and doesn't scatter out into the brush.

Some I have doctored so that it all goes in the middle of the road more than anywhere else. I like that on the golf cart since I put it on the front hitch and don't want to plant corn.

That is a pretty cool feature. No running wires all over the place.

Apologies for the old bump but I am looking at getting road feeder. I like the Lamco and the ability to lower the tailgate. I also like the idea of the wireless feeder however a wired one I could also wire it to an upfitter switch that is already installed in my truck. Has there been any big innovation in these thing during the last year that I am missing?
