How long do you want to ignore this user?
I searched forums and google but not much help on what people think of this bag.

Does anyone own one of these and recommend or would not buy again?

I have a cheap duffel bag but I would like something better for camping and fishing trips. Also, if you own one, is the medium size big enough to hold a decent amount of gear? The price difference is minimal between the 2 but the large is too big for carry-on for airplanes.

I have the large bag in grey. It's awesome. Have used it for all sorts of stuff. Throw it in the bed of the pickup, it gets rained on and everything inside has been dry when I open it back up. I am going to order the medium in tan as well. The large is WAY too big for a weekend.

got one as a gift 2 years ago for an elk hunting trip i went on. Its the medium one and its pretty damn big......came with removable shoulder straps. its very durable and waterproof which is great.

only knock i have one it is the buckles for the shoulder straps are always in the way when unzipping. i have a feeling they did this so the lid would be at your back if you were wearing it as a back pack. wouldn't want to put all the weight of the contents on the zipper.

i would wait a few more months and try to get one on sale before X-mas.

I have the medium one, was looking for a waterproof bag for the boat and all my fishing tackle, etc. As mentioned, the medium is big so confirm the measurements before buying. I like it so far, never submerged or anything, or done much other than place in and out of boat and zip/unzip. I did also get it 50% off, I couldn't justify full price. But even at full price, it seems cheaper than many big name alternatives.

I have a small and a medium. Small is about normal gym bag size. I could fit a weekends worth of summer clothes and a pair of shoes in it.

The medium is big enough for maybe a weeks worth of summer clothes and a couple pairs of shoes. It's works for me when we go to the ranch for the weekend and I need some jeans, boots and a jacket on top of my normal clothes. This one gets used more than the small (actually, I normally let my kid pick in the small because it's big enough for his smaller clothes, and it looks like dad's and he still thinks I'm cool and I'm cool with that)

I bought and returned a large. It's huge and borderline not practical for things I use a duffle for. If I needed something that big I'm going somewhere for a while and probably just gonna use a suitcase.

Build quality seems good. I haven't like thrown it in the pool to test the waterproofness, but it'll keep your stuff dry in the bed of a truck if you hit a shower.

I have both the small and medium. As many have already stated, the small holds enough for a short weekend trip. The medium is extremely large and can hold all of my gear for a 4 day trip to the ranch. I'm sure the large is too big for almost anything that I would ever use it for. Wait for them to do a 50% off sale at some point, at that price point they are well worth it.

Reiterate what's already been said.

Medium is huge and almost too big for weekend trips. I want to get a small for the weekend trips as the medium holds everything and then some.

It has been great for waterproof needs as well. Haven't used it as a backpack but will likely try this weekend just for ****es and giggles

I have a large that I use for fishing travel. It's big enough to pack fly rod tubes in which is why I went with the big one. No complaints.

Originally ordered the large but returned it for the medium. Large is way too big for what i was needing. Ended up with the medium. Keep an eye out for sales.

I bought the medium for weekend trips and realized it's too big so I kept it for longer trips and got the small for the weekend. Both are fantastic.

I have the medium and have no complaints. It's held up great and is perfect to throw in the bed of the truck and not worry about dust, rain, etc.

Anyone hate RTIC's new "vs The Competition" sales? Right now the duffels are 50% off "vs the competition".

Those of you that have them, what price point is reasonable?

Curious as well. The medium is $70 and small $65. Is that the "normal" RTIC price or a good sale price? Might have to pull the trigger on one for trips out west.

Bought a medium and a large!

Medium is perfect size for a weekend hunting trip. Probably too big for a weekend at the beach!

The large is absolutely massive! It will fit 2 pairs of neoprene waders easy!!!! Not sure what all you would use it for beyond that. Regardless, they seem to be well built.

Chalk me up as another steered to the RTIC website because of this thread and wanting to know if $65-70 is "good" deal for these. Based on all the good reviews I'm going to say it's probably a good deal either way and pull the trigger.

FYI, they now have a $6+ China Tariff on any purchase. At least they're being transparent about the increased cost.

They're ugly as hell, but I'm not bringing my D&G duffel down to the ranch for the weekend.

That's actually a pretty good price. I was walking around Buc'cees the other day and walked by their house brand who had made a similar bag. For the medium size it was about the same price so if you can get an RTIC that's probably a good deal

When we got ours they were $45/55/65 For the S/M/L. If you live in Houston area, their store off 290 sometimes has sales that are better than website. Also, they have a surplus/scratch and dent clearance area that's worth a walk through too. It's a good place to kill a lunch break.

Yeah, its not really a sale but it definitely hooks people...

The competition price in this case looks like The North Face https://www.thenorthface.com/shop/base-camp-duffel-m-nf0a3etp?variationId=KZ3#hero=0

I've had one of these types for 10+ years (TNF), used to know a guy who worked there so I got an employee discount for about half price. I love it for the type, can throw in the bed of a truck without worry.

The tariff is only on online purchases. If you are able to go into the retail store you do not get charged the tariff.
