I'm new to the AR world. Have an M&P sport 2 (223") I'm looking at getting a 300 BLK pistol next. I would like to get a suppressor that would primarily be used on the pistol but would be nice to use on the M&P occasionally also.

Can I use most suppressors on both?
What kind of muzzle devices should I be looking at?
Any pitfalls on handguard for pistol?
Any specific recs on suppressor?

Yes- you need a 30cal can.

I have a Saker 7.62. Have it on their ASR quick mount. Use it on .223, .300blk and a 6.8 SPC. Some day it will also sit on a SCAR 17 in .308. They make different end caps for .223 and .30 cal you can swap out to improve suppression on the .223. Just don't forget to switch back before shooting a larger caliber. Beware though, under best of circumstances .223 just doesn't suppress all that well.

i have a sico omega, sico chimera, sico hybrid and sico 556k for my rifle cans. key things to look at are DB suppression, weight of the can and how many different calibers you can put it on. cans are also rated for certain barrel lengths. i got the chimera, because i can use it on any barrel length. i have an ASR muzzle brake or device on everyone one of my rifles so swapping cans between rifles takes all of 30 seconds.

there are some pistol caliber cans that will handle subsonic 300blk as well. example: sico omega 9k and the octane 45.

I have an AAC 7.62 SDN 6. Its a great can and I like the quick attach ratchet. I have AR rifles in .223, 300BLK and .308 and its great on all three. On my 300BLK with subsonic ammo the BCG going back and forth makes more noise than the bullet itself firing.
This year I got a bolt action 6.5 creedmore that had a threaded barrel and its worked very well on it too.

I like my Griffin Armament Recce 7 and highly recommend it as an all purpose can. It's a nice blend of performance, weight, and length.

I love my 7.62 SDN 6. I just wish the muzzle brake was a less expensive.. I currently have 5 on different rifles..

What ammo are you running in your .300? I've got that same can and have had a couple end cap strikes that I've had to have repaired.

It mainly is going to depend on what you are running and with what twist rate on your barrel. If you are running mis-matched ammo for your barrel, there's your issue. Asking what someone else is running without finding out what their setup is, might not answer your issue.

AAC now has the Brakeout Compensator which is a combo muzzle brake and flash hider that I'm using. I've found these for ~$80 online different places. Still kind of expensive but at least they are built well and ensure the can is attached correctly.

I paid between 90-95 for mine so when I get another one I'll shop around. I was buying them from the shop I bought the can from... which reminds me.. 4 months into the wait for the 22 can...

I am running a sig SRD762TI-QD on my Daniel defense 300 and love it. Used silencershop and they have a ton of videos with tests on many different silencers.

Surefire 762 mini on a 10.3 556 and 9 inch 300bo

What barrel are you running?

The threads on PSA and lesser quality aren't always concentric.

It was an EyeGuy build so I believe it was a Ballistic Advantage 8.5".

Whoa, you need to follow up with your dealer and the ATF. I just got a Sandman back that was 51 weeks exactly. A coworker got his a few days later that was a 10 month turn around. We used the same dealer and he is seeing 10 months now. Yours got passed over for some reason.

I've spoken to dealer 3 times in last 3 months. As recently as two weeks ago, the stamps were supposedly in the mail....

The QD is far better than my Silencerco. I plan on getting an S on my next batch. The K works great for a brush gun, but just barely takes the edge off for hunting without hearing protection.

sico did come out with a better ratchet that seems to be a hell of a lot better than the first gen QD. have you used one yet?

I haven't. I have the older ASR mount. I am thinking about getting this since I'm going to stay with DeadAir in the future.

Nice rig. A buddy and I built my 300 BLK a few months ago in anticipation of the DA arriving. Needless to say, I've grown weary.

SteveMedina - thx for the POC but I've been told putting in a phone call this late could result in the app getting "shuffled" further down the stack. Not sure if accurate, but at this point, I'm not willing to try my luck.
