I cleared my fence line with a chainsaw and a circular blade on a weed eater. After it was cleared I sprayed and mowed it religiously. I took down the fence after a couple years. Once the fence was down I brought in a small dozer and scraped the ground a few inches deep on all the remaining stumps. Some of the tubers we pulled up were as big as my arm.

Fence is still in good shape, circular saw blade on a weedeater, good idea!

AND you don't have to bend over to get down to base of small tree to cut it like you do with a chainsaw

I clean my fences about every 2 years. Use a small chainsaw and Fiskars loppers. (Also Remedy and diesel mix)
