I didn't know the man personally, but I usually come to the OB for advice on most things outdoors. I didn't grow up getting to hunt very much, so I'm having to teach myself most things as an adult.

I posted a question about purchasing a new deer rifle last year, and in his famous NW80 fashion he chimed in. I didn't think much of it until he sent me a PM with his number in it and asked me to give him a call. We ended up talking for 25-30 minutes about rifles, shot placement, and random hunting stories. I was a complete stranger to the man, but he took time out of his day to help me out and give advice, and we had a good laugh too.

It's not something I forgot and I will pray for his family and friends.

Never met him, but I'm guessing this is him...
