Trees are outdoors...

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this? It's prevented blooming for the last two seasons and I'm at my wits end. I've been applying neems tree oil almost weekly but it keeps coming back.

I've applied a fertilizer a few times as well.

Any suggestions welcome.

Daconil Fungicide worked for me this year. You can get it at Home Depot.

Yep. Our neighbor down the street cuts his back to 5' high bare stalks every year and his have been covered with it for the last two years and look terrible right now. He asked me a couple of years ago what that "beautiful tree" was that was 25-30' tall in our front yard. I told him it was a crepe myrtle and he didn't believe me. The only pruning I do to ours is to keep it from drooping over the sidewalk or driveway too far and it is a huge beautiful tree that blooms like crazy.

I hate crepe myrtles -- at our last house the first thing I did was have them removed

Yep, took me several years to convince the War Department to leave them alone. Too many people hack them to pieces.

I was actually in Azag08's position when we bought the house. My lack of attention to them started out as "active neglect". I literally did nothing to them and expected them to die during the first major drought. All 4 of the ones that were here when we bought the house not only survived, but all are tall beautiful trees now. Wish I could neglect my citrus that well...

What kind of citrus? In ground or in large pots?

I have a key lime in a pot, does pretty well but I need to add a pan or watch it every three days for watering. I have a meyer lemon in the ground that I give lemons away in season. Both should be afterthoughts like a crepe myrtle if you have them fertilized and established. All about watering when they get close to drying out.
