Going to be in Colorado for a week in June. About 30 mins Northeast of Colorado Springs. Can make a couple day trips while I'm there.
Hire a trout guide? Pan for gold?
This can be the case, but is not necessarily true. If it melts off slowly, rivers can still be muddy and swollen in June. If it melts off quickly (as it has done in our part of CO this year) they will be bad early, and then be awesome in June/July. A lot depends on if you are early June or later, and what part of the state.chris1515 said:
I was talking to someone that goes fishing in CO every summer and they were complaining that the snowfall was so heavy this winter that the rivers would all be really high and fishing would be much more difficult than normal. Just FYI.
Please don't. Chances are I will be out riding it and there are enough Iowa plated cars that haven't seen a curve in the road going 15mph already.ursusguy said:
Go do the Mt. Evans Road. Last mile or so you can damn near watch the gas gauge move.
