How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hey guys I picked some of this up to spray where wasps and yellow jackets usually start nesting this time of year to try and prevent it. I have a half acre tank full of fish. I would like to spray the bottom of our floating pier, in particular two 10 foot 2x12s. They love to nest under them and they sit six inches above the water and are hard to kill without getting stung. It says this product is harmful to fish. Do you think if I spray those two boards with a little bit getting in the water that it would cause any issues or is it too small an amount? At the very least I am going to put the plastic chairs on the shore and spray the undersides and then put them back. Thanks.

I think youd be fine.

As a side note Ive had really good luck with wasp not wanting to build where permethrin has been sprayed.

From what I understand it doesn't take much to harm fish, especially with the overspray. I have actually done 2 different things. I used a paint roller to roll on the chemical to prevent the overspray. I did use a wettable powder for that. That worked for about 6-8 months. The other thing we tried was painting the underside of the dock blue, like they do for porches. Not sure how long that worked since Ike went ahead and disposed of that dock.
