I'd probably check the river where 29 crosses it a couple miles east of Hwy 130. There's a little half loop road, CR 100, that comes off the south side of 29, crosses the river and meets back up to 29 that looks to give a person public access to the river.

No help above, but below Lake Georgetown has been all out of sorts due to water releases. San Gabriel Park is one of my regular fishing spots and I haven't even seen fish there the last two times I've been.

When it settles back down and the fish move in, the park is good both up and downstream for wading.

I'm sure he'll check in, but I believe Charliebrown on here has kayaked from the park to Granger Lake.

Just saw this

I've done all of between the park and granger but not all at once

I've seen people fly fishing below the dam in the park wading pretty successfully

Also if you go to where the river crosses under inner loop near Forbes Middle school there's a pretty good access point that looks like good fly fishing to me but I've never fly fished.

There's usually a lot of carp out at Tejas park as well
