How long do you want to ignore this user?
My neighborhood has seen a rash of car thefts recently. We have to park ours on driveway so I'd like to protect them with a tracking device.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I'd avoid something easily seen and removed.

Ask your local "tote the note" used car dealer what they use.

If you get an OBDII device, make sure it has passthrough so you can mount it inside the dash and place an extension into the dash panel. If you get one that just plugs in, theives will just unplug it.

I've used this quite a bit in a magnetic case. Works great. About as real time as you can get (at least from what I've seen) direct to a phone app.

Main drawbacks IMO are battery life (about 5 or 6 days) and roughly $30/month for the service.

Have you checked to see if you can adjust the settings on it to use less power? I'm thinking about getting back into the GPS rental market and have been doing some research. There are some out there now for about the same price that only turn on when the vehicle moves and you can adjust the interval between pings. I'm thinking I saw one the other day advertising 30-45 day battery life.

Why do you have to park on the driveway. Sounds like you need to have a garage sale.

This is the OB. A garage is for storing hunting and fishing gear.

We have 3 cars
Two dogs who sleep in the garage at night so they don't bark at deer
Weight lifting equipment

If that is possible, I never tried to figure out how. Was more interested in getting as real time location info as possible anyway, for my use.

Right now I have the service suspended, so can't look to see.
