Neighbor was walking his husky and it chased my cat up a tree, been stuck up there for a few hours now. Not sure what to do

So, I am just curious, has anyone ever seen a cat actually die while stuck in a tree. Like it is stuck in a tree and wont come down and after a few days exhaustion and thirst depravation sets in and the cat just falls out like a broken branch, dead before it hits the ground.

Just wait the cat out. When a cat gets hungry and thirsty enough they will always come down. It might be a day or so, but other than doing something stupid by intervening that will get you or your cat injured, they always come down.
The cat is just mind **** you by doing this and acting scared.
Eta - if u r really that impatient, get a hose with a good nozzle and water blast the cat until it comes down.

Maybe the cat is in the tree to get away from something or somebody that is annoying it?
