For any other gun.

Good lord, they're proud of these stupid things.

Madsens also have stupid expensive mags.

The funny thing about this one is the gun was a deal, but the mags to feed it make it...less of one.

Yeah, I was extremely happy when my scar came with six mags

Yep, H&K mags are all costly. That's the reason I had Eyeguy get me the upgraded versions that come with night sights and three mags. I got the others from hkparts.com. They are made of metal in Germany so I guess that's one reason for the cost. It's too bad they all fell in the Brazos River....

Mags are here, gun isn't yet.

It's a LNIB Vector 93 (H&K 93 clone), built off a Malaysian parts kit, with the original H&K 1:12 twist barrel. Same design principal as the G3 rifles and MP5 sub machine guns, but in 5.56. Stock photo:

It's been setting for sale for a while, made an offer and snagged it for $850. When they were still being made, they sold in the $1100 range and being out of production hasnt brought their prices down any.

It makes me slightly more okay with how much I'm spending on magazines. Slightly.

It's here, going to try to shake it out tonight.

Looks NIB as promised.

The two new German 30 rounders I bought, everything else came with the gun. Pretty happy with the purchase.

80 rounds of M193 through the gun this afternoon. The 40 round mag from 1976 and two new 30s I have for it all ran great.

I managed to forget my HK sight adjustment tool sitting on the top of the dresser, so it was mostly just blasting today. I usually hate just turning ammo into noise, but hey....I had made it all the way to the range and didn't have time to get home and back before shutdown, and I wanted to make sure it ran like I thought it would. It did.

Good news is it's only about ~4" high and 1" to the right at 100 yards.

What's really crazy is how long these things are. Here it is next to a 20" A4ish thing that I was also shooting some today.

I'm still trying to decide between a HK416 or a Scar... do you think they'll ever make a civilian version of the HK433?

My fiance bought my a magazine for my HK45 for Christmas, those weren't cheap either. Can't complain though.

With German export laws... I doubt it. And on a Scar... yeah, those are hard to come by. 416s aren't exactly easy but man, getting my Scar was a unicorn hunt in a forest of Sasquatches.
