my mesquite tree has put on new leaves over the past few weeks. I'm here in Marble Falls and am curious if others are seeing this happening in other parts of the state
We have milkweed that still hasn't frozen back yet. We have queen and monarch caterpillars still munching away on it...Badace52 said:
I live just north of Georgetown and have yet to see any leaf growth on my mesquite trees, but some of the lantana still hasn't fully defoliated, nor has my Lacey Oak, and I have some plumbago that still has green growth at the base. This has been a strange, wet winter.
yea, I'm 100% certain it is mesquite (I like to put my forestry degree to use every now and then)Apache said:
Mesquites are usually the last ones to bud out, along with Pecans.
You sure it's a mesquite? Very unusual.
so you're 100% certain it's not a rat snake or an aoudad?ABATTBQ87 said:yea, I'm 100% certain it is mesquite (I like to put my forestry degree to use every now and then)Apache said:

Well that might explain my allergies going crazy. Forestry degree and I'm allergic to mesquite. Have you noticed trees flowering as well
