Talk me in or out of it. Anything better at the $1,000ish range? I like the fact that I can put my can on it since it comes threaded.

What about the creedmoor round? i have someone trying to talk me into it. And most of what I read is pretty strong on it. But there are 8,809,379 opinions out there on it.

I like the Bergara options better. Or the Howa Bravo. Or a Tikka CTR

You can get one at buds for $866.
If I was getting a Remington in 6.5, I would get the 700 PCR with 24" barrel. $912 at Buds.
I bought a 700 SPS , put a Magpul stock on myself and Timiney trigger for less than $1000.

Primarily bc I have first hand experience with all 3 I mentioned, and they all hammer.

The 700 probably would too, but a few years ago I left the R700 behind as I saw dropping quality and better accuracy from others.

Lots of Bergara owners here. And I'm pretty enamored with my Tikka CTR. Kinda think it's the perfect suppressor host deer rifle. Might do a full end of season review on it.

I've been interested in the 6.5 Creedmoor round for a while, debating on either an AR build or bolt action. I ended up getting a black friday sale on a Ruger American 6.5 Creedmoor (it even came with the threaded barrel for my suppressor).

First time hunting with it this past weekend and shot a doe with it. First animal to shoot since sighting in a few days prior so was a little nervous on the shot. Doe was walking towards me at an angle and shot in the neck as it bent over to eat corn on the road. Bullet entered the neck and exited "clipping" the front left shoulder. Bullet shattered the neck bone and blew out a nice hole on the exit side. This was at 80 yards.

So overall I am pleased with the rifle and he round. Just need to see if I can test it out with a shot at a blackbuck at 300-400 yards

I recently picked up a Rem 700 5r gen 2 in 6.5 creedmoor, replaced the trigger with a Trigger tech, and recrowned the barrel. Grouping is right at .65 moa. Planning to glass bed which should get me under .5 moa. Went this way knowing that any factory rifle might need some work and it's pretty easy to get work done on a rem 700.

How about for $700? A Sauer 100. Got one for my son earlier this spring in 6.5 CM. His first time out put 40 shots in a 2" circle at 200 yds during a Norther with over 80% inside 1" firing Federal's cheapest hunting ammo.

Sauer is Germany's oldest gun manufacturer. They build custom engraved shotguns and rifles, breakdown African hunting rifles, interchangeable barrel rifles, etc. I would rather have an "entry" rifle from a custom builder than a "premium" rifle from a mass producer (Big Green). Here's a 7 Mag "American Dream"

They come standard with every feature that you want for a custom rifle: precise fitted and bedded free floated barrel, adjustable competition trigger, smooth 60 deg bolt throw, ergonomic recoil reducing stock, flush detachable 5+1 magazine. 10 yr. ACCURACY WARRANTY! Sauer 100

Able Sporting Goods in Huntsville has it in stock for only $736: Able's Sauer 6.5 CM

This is the Pantera:

How would the Sauer Pantera compare to the Rutger Precision Rifle in accuracy/quality in the 6.5 CM? I'm talking in the ability to shoot 1000 yards or 1600 yards. ...
