Best BBQ around glen rose?

Headed that way next weekend and looking for sat night bbq... google wasnt really helpful.

What do yall recommend? Anything awesome within an hour?

Hard 8 in Stephenville is about a 30 min drive.

I think Ranch House BBQ in Glen Rose closed a few years back.

There are a couple bbq places right in Glen Rose. Don't go to them. Dickey's might be better than those places.

Flores BBQ in Whitney is 44 miles from Glen Rose. Much better than Hard Eight, although Hard Eight isn't bad.

Heim in Ft Worth is 53 miles.

Saturday 11AM-7PM (or until sold out.) It fits the bill for a dinner before 7.

Heim is 11AM-10PM (or until sold out.)

Agreed. We stopped at one just east of Glen Rose on our way to deer hunt. Sub par is a compliment.

You can't put fatty meat in a crock pot and call it BBQ.

Like others have said, barbecue in Glen Rose is not good. Hard 8 in Stephenville is where you should go. Also, Loco Coyote is good.

As to Hard Eight, it's serviceable. And if you cannot get to Flores or Heim, it's really the only other option...
