Pretty quick and concise report, but we (myself and two customers) got it done today. We went 3 for 3 with very respectable bucks and had an excellent time doing so. It snowed its ass off last night and today, which made for some fun hunting conditions for us Texas guys. The ranch roads were a mess, but we got around well on the side by sides. Absolute blast of a hunt just outside of Casper on a 40,000 acre private ranch. Found a solid buck around mid-morning for myself. He was with another 15 or so antelope. I laid down in the snow, got as comfortable and steady as possible, and the guide ranged the target buck at 835 yards. Pulled the trigger and the bullet drifted 4-5" wide. Perfect elevation, but we were off on the wind coming through the canyons. Put another round in the chamber, adjusted the scope dial to compensate for our slight miss, squeezed the second round off, and smoked him. By far my longest shot. Incredible to see a bullet travel that far. Was shooting a custom 6mm x .284 with suppressor, which was awesome. Really enjoyable hunt. Going calling for coyotes and foxes tomorrow before heading back home on Thursday.
