Anyone have a good one they recommend? I don't need anything fancy. Mainly for BBQ left overs.

The processor does most of my big game.

TIA

I likewise have a food saver and I love mine too!!
The applications are numerous. I typically go to Costco once every 2 mos or so and buy whole Prime Strips or Ribeyes. Cut individual steaks and vacuum seal.
You can also seal individual meals to heat and serve in boiling water.
Not to mention packaging game and fish.

I just bought a vacmaster vp215 chamber type and I will never mess with the other type again. Paid $500 new on eBay. It doesn't suck interior of bags so it's liquid safe and bags are cheaper.

This is the OB, so if you dont go out and buy an industrial brand and size that is designed to do thousands of packages in a day, you fail at life.

I will tell you I have had a FoodSaver for 12 years, it works extremely well and doesnt require a loan or dedicated industrial facility space.

Have had my Foodsaver for close to 17 years, and it works great for the $$$.

Note: A few years ago I thought it was losing the vacuum "seal" gasket. So old I could not find the part. Got to looking at it and it was mashed. Flipped it up on the back and took pressure off of seal for a few weeks. Works like new.
"Green" is the new RED.

We have an upright full of game meat, homemade sausage etc. Deer, turkey, ducks...We did the vacuum thing for years but now we wrap in cellophane then freezer paper. Is it better? Don't know but we eat it within 2 years anyway. I suspect it is way cheaper.

Foodsaver is what we use in our house and I have zero complaints. We do everything from specs and reds to shrimp to wild game. Works great every time.

To further this discussion, where do you all get your bags/rolls from? Obviously amazon is the default, just wondering if there is a better option. Any generic better than another?
