Going in April for a buddy's wedding and want to do some fishing. Everything I see is that Captain Anthony is the man and the only one to use, but he is about $200 more than the next guy. Is it a worth every penny type deal or are there others that are just as good?

I was in Cozumel and just asked one of the bartenders if he liked to fish, he said no but knows someone who does. Ended up going with his recommendation and saved $400. Booking through the concierge is very expensive
others are just as good. just make sure you see/confirm the EXACT boat before you book/pay.
April should be pretty dang good for sails and mahi. I'll post a couple pics from my trip May '16...

You can see we did NOT confirm the exact boat and got this POS old dive boat...but it was still an epic catch.
Would rather fish on an average boat with a captain that knows his stuff than a fancy boat with a captain that cannot put you on fish

It was the only charter right as you enter Tulum beach area.
We just go lucky. There was a tournament that day that the captains dad was in. Any of our 4 Mahi or Sailfish would have won the thing. That Bull was in the biggest 3 he had ever seen.

Awesome. Looks like you were in an old panga that had been rigged out for diving. Those hulls are workhorses.
