How long do you want to ignore this user?
Heading to the lease this weekend and haven't changed my feeding times since June. With the days getting shorter and bow season approaching, what does everyone have their feeder times set to?

I set mine based on good shooting light when I'll be hunting. Checking the almanac...
Opening weekend (Sept 29):
Sunrise is 7:17am and Sunset is 7:12pm
By the third weekend (Oct 13)
Sunrise is 7:26am and Sunset is 6.56pm

I currently have my bow feeders set at Morning 7:20am and at evening 5:00pm

I will likely adjust by 20 minutes at time change for rifle season

7:30&6. So when the time changes it gives me 30 of day light before it goes off and 1 hr before it gets dark. Most of the time during bow season I'm hunting oak thickets anyway due to acorns.

somewhat related to this. How much would y'all pay for a deer feeder timer that could be programmed by simply telling it how long before sunrise/sunset you want it to go off each day, and it uses gps and calculations to auto adjust each day by a few minutes so that it goes off everyday year round at the same time relative to the sun? working on a rough design for something as mostly a hobby project, but if it works i was curious what it might be worth. $60? 80? or is this not really a feature worth paying more for?

^^^^I have thought of this being a good idea too. I have wished there were timers that you could program times by date for daylight savings. It would have to be able to include specific dates in the programming.

ive been only feeding at 730am. about to drop that back a few minutes to be right at day light and start feeding in the evening an hour before dark for bow season.

I leave mine set on hunting time and leave the times the same year round.

Will only change the morning time though. When season starts 7:30 is good, but as the days get shorter, 7:30 is hard to see so I bump it up some.

Why not use a photocell feeder? Same principle...

My evening setting is after 5 just because there are a few times I cannot get there until 5.

My morning setting is after 7. Set too early and you have all the pot bellied corn hawg does eating everything before it's light enough to see what is out there.
