What does everyone use for their indoor/outdoor perimeter pest control? I am looking for something to mix in my 3gal sprayer to go around my house and inside along the baseboards. I see lots of recs for Demon Max online. I want to do it myself rather than pay $400+/year for a company to do it.

Gasoline.

You can usually find it for around $2.50/gal if you know where to look.

Also, invest in a good stainless sprayer up front. It will make your like much easier. I have a B&G at my house, but, also own a Longray from Amazon that I use at the coast. At half the price of the B&G I've been pleased on how well it works, however, it does drip just a tad.

Why not demon inside and out?
Better with the different chemicals?

I would like to know this too. Demon says it is ok for indoor use. No kids or pets at my house either.

Demon can leave a white residue. I just do it outside. I sprayed about a week ago and there's dead bugs all over the place. That stuff is potent and works.

This seems backwards to me. Both are synthetic pyrethroids, but Demon is actually alot safer than Bifen.

Home Defense Max from HD or Lowes is pretty hard to beat for 99% of indoor use. No residue etc. Kills spiders which many pesticides don't

Demon is the king of outdoor/perimeter and has plenty of years of "experience"

I use Demon inside, but I spray it in places that people aren't regularly touching (under the sinks, behind toilets, around hot water heaters, etc...). I don't care what the labels say, I don't want pesticides in areas that my kids are going to put their hands.

I've been using it for close to 10 years now and it works fantastic. A years supply runs about $30 and you can get it on Amazon.

On another note, when I was a new home owner, we subscribed to Terminex pest control. They came every 3 months, and sprayed both the interior and exterior, left traps, etc.... We we're constantly seeing roaches in the house, so we would call them and they would come out at no charge and spray. It got to the point where they we're coming out every 2-3 weeks. I think they charged $75 every three months. Someone told me about Demon, so I sprayed the perimeter of the house, and the next day I counted over 40 dead roaches on the back porch. I cancelled Terminex that day and never looked back. I don't understand why anyone would use anything else at least around the perimeter of their home. It's inexpensive and extremely effective (and yes, I have tons of lizards around my house, so it's apparently not harming them either)

How effective is Demon on scorpions?

Works great. I had a ton of scorpions when I first built my house. I sprayed Demon every few months around the perimeter of my house the first year and would notice them inside a few times every week (most likely from the construction phase). Typically they would be dead or dying though, but a few that were still very much alive. 2 years later, I rarely get one in the house and when I do find them, they are almost always dead. They don't die right away, but from what I've read (and could agree with), it takes a few hours for them to die from Demon. Pretty much any insect it will knock out.

Never knew that. I did it because the one time I used Demon inside it left the residue. I may have to try the Liquid Demon next time

I did Demon in both and it does leave a slight white residue if you have dark tile/wood floors. But a quick rub/swipe with a paper towel fixed that issue. I hope my house looks like Chicago when i get home next week from work, dead bodies everywhere.

1. Nuke the yard with Bifen granules.
2. Spray perimter with Demon WP.
3. Also use Delta Dust in weep holes and other cracks/holes. Had Carpenter bee issue that this worked miracles on.

That was my starting point to getting control of my bug issue.

Last month or so I've been cleaning up dead bugs everywhere.

Total cost was $70.

Never used Demon, but it's the most recommended.

I always get the hook up from the Ag Retailers that I work with on insecticides like Tempo and Suspend.

If you have to buy a new pump sprayer, spend the extra $10-20 on one that has a life time warranty. I bought one at Lowes (HD didn't have one with the lifetime warranty) I think Smith maybe?? I've called them 2-3 times and they have sent me replacement parts.

Rookie question here...please go easy. I just used Bifen I/T for the first time.

I mixed up way too much. Can I store it in the spatter bottle or do I need to dispose of it?

Thanks!

Demon inside and out here as well. I've got kids and pets. Mr. Diesel did it yesterday while we were out to give it time to dry before kids were home. Works great on everything.
