Nailed! Somebody on Nextdoor knows the guy. Apparently the thief's father lives in Wheeler Ridge, and the truck is there right now.

The thief's name is posted on Nextdoor.

Good thing the truck doesn't have any unusual damage on it that would make it easily identifiable

I wonder why they elected not to drop the gate. That would helped conceal the plate (and make it easier to load).
With the bed side gone, maybe the tailgate wouldn't open, or if it did, the remains of that bedside would fall off.

Or it's already full of other stolen crap.

I bet this was someone in the neighborhood. Why else would they be driving through Wheeler Ridge at 8:30 in broad daylight?
Really?? You wonder why some idiots thieves didn't apply logic and reason??

So, what are the gun laws in this case - can you drop them in your yard?

I believe if you can confirm they have your stolen property. You can drop them in their yard.

(I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice)

Couple of blocks from where I grew up. Never seen that truck but I'm not in the neighborhood very often.

Not sure what the rules are on posting names here. In any case, the name has been given to Bryan PD, and I don't want to tip him and the girl off before they are arrested.

I hate thieves as much as anyone but damned if I'm killing someone over a GD lawnmower.

Oh, I agree completely. I would not do it in the case as it was shown. Just curious as to the laws in cases like this.

While I agree, personally, I'm not going to condemn someone who would do so.

It takes a good part of your life to acquire things, so the thief is taking that portion of your life. And a person who has no qualms about taking what belongs to others, today, will likely have no qualms about hurting someone to get those things, tomorrow.

At least you know the money he got for pawning that mower will be going towards new ink and not meth,

It's not WHAT is being taken, it's that it IS being taken.

The thieves are who is putting the price on their lives, not the owner.

It's surprising with the Cameras and technology nowadays that is everywhere that people would even risk it for something like a lawnmower

And based on the Facebook photo of him, I seriously doubt that he has not already hurt someone along his thieving past.

Anyone else wondering if that half-full MCDonald's cup in the background fell in the back seat and spilled? I'm more curious about that!! HAH

Been driving me crazy since I saw that cup. What kind of a lunatic puts a cup back there? Obviously one who is a thief and pays for substandard tattoos.
